On the morning of May 7th, ZhiHong Nie, Distinguished Professor of Polymer science department in Fudan university visited our school at the invitation of Professor Jiaping Lin, School of Materials Science and Engineering, and presented an academic report entitled "Block Copolymer-grafted Nanoparticles: from Precision Self-assembly to Biomedical Applications".
In the report, Zhihong Nie introduced the design and synthesis of various polymer modified colloidal particles and their self-assembly behaviors, and explained in detail the self-assembly process of colloidal particles forming multi-scale ordered structure step by step from bottom to top. He said that the prepared supramolecular colloidal structures, such as polymer vesicles containing nanoparticles, have excellent properties in biomedical imaging. The assembly behavior of colloidal particles can be precisely regulated by changing the size of colloidal particles, the properties of modified polymers, and solvent environment. The report content aroused wide interest of the present teachers and students. Zhihong Nie answered the questions raised by everyone in detail.
