On the morning of April 23rd, Professor Biqiong Chen from Queen's University Belfast visited the school at the invitation of Professor Jiaping Lin, School of Materials Science and Engineering, and presented an academic report entitled Multifunctional polymer nanocomposites and elastomeric materials for engineering and biomedical applications.

      In the report, Biqiong Chen introduced the research progress and application prospects of nanoparticle reinforced polymer layered structures, such as the mechanism of improving mechanical properties and the preparation of multifunctional polymer nanocomposites for subcutaneous drug delivery. In addition, Biqiong Chen highlighted new elastomer materials, including the synthesis of new biomimetic elastomers and high elastic nanocomposite hydrogel for soft tissue repair and drug delivery, and the preparation of intelligent multifunctional elastomers for stretchable conductors, sensors and medicine.
