On the afternoon of September 5, Professor Yuguang Ma of the school of chemistry of Jilin University was invited to visit the laboratory and gave a wonderful academic report entitled the physical and chemical properties of organic photoelectric material in the first conference room of the school of materials. The meeting was presided over by Professor Jiaping Lin, executive vice president of the graduate school.
Professor Yuguang Ma has been awarded with The National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. He and his colleagues mainly focus on the research of functional polymers, and their research directions are the synthesis of photoelectric materials and electroluminescent devices. They have made a systematically deep research on the phosphorescent materials and electroluminescent mechanism. The idea that the utilization of the triplet state can greatly improve the efficiency of electroluminescent devices was carried out early, and had attracted the attention of peers at home and abroad. In recent years, their relevant work has been published in J. Am. Chem. Soc., Advanced Materials, and many other famous magazines. He has won one second prize in the National Natural Science Award and two first prize in Natural Science in Chinese universities.
In the report, Professor Ma introduced the organic photoelectric material from three aspects. Among them, atypical CT state materials have the excellent characteristics of new functions of D-A system, preparation of dual-polarized broadband electronic materials, and side-chain functionalization. Secondly, Professor Ma described the effects of conformational transformation, rotatable crossover, and crystal structure change in the intramolecular rotation of comjugated systems on the luminescence of the materials. Furthermore, he described the wide application prospect in the laser field of preparing organic crystals with high conductivity and high luminous rate from the two aspects of the structure of molecular aggregation and the organic crystal phase transition induced by luminescence.
Professor Ma's scientific research ideas and methods benefited the participating teachers and students a lot. At the report meeting, Professor Ma also answered the questions raised by teachers and graduate students one by one, and had a heated discussion with them.
