Professor Akihiro Abe from Tokyo Polytechnic University visited East China University of Science and Technology and gave lectures many times. Prof. A.Abe is the member of the IUPAC Department of Polymer Science, the member of the Japan Academic Council, and the former president of the Japan Polymer Society. In 2001, he was appointed as honorary guest professor.
